And on the sixth day, he created killed Kologarn.
With Iron Council down, Kologarn was next up to bat for Chronus. Kologarn, the glorified bridge, would be quite the challenge if he wasn’t only allowed to use his hands. His feet would be quite the problem! But since he doesn’t have his feet to fight with, Chronus was able to take him out after a bit of trial and error along the way.

Next up was Auriaya. One of the more annoying pulls that Blizzard has ever crafted, we have to use every Damage Mitigating skill we have in order to just start the pull. We gave her a few shots last night, getting her pretty close to 0%, but decided to call it. Tonight we plan to finish her off.

Day #5, start of the new week started great for us. Chronus started off with a fresh instance and quickly mowed through the first 4 Bosses and then started on the new encounter Assembly of Iron. After two very quick tries at it, to learn positioning and all the ins and outs, we were able to finish them off.
Iron Council = Dead

Day #3 had seen us taking on two different bosses with no kills. Day #4 saw us with downing Razorscale, XT-002 Deconstructor, and Ignis the Furnace Master! Go Chronus!
Pretty pumped with our progress against Razorscale on Day #3, we immediately went to work. After a few quick mistakes made, we ended up downing the guy and even getting the Achievement Heroic: A Quick Shave.[Kill shot inc]
Next up was XT-002 Deconstructor, the exercising machine with likes to play with toys. This fight is very much a “Who’s paying attention” fight. DPS, Tanking and Heals are all very important in this fight… but all are useless if someone blows up the raid by not paying attention. We worked on this guy for about an hour and a half before finally downing him (and lol at Sylent and Shìva being the only ones left alive to kill him). And again, we got another achievement Heroic: Nerf Gravity Bombs.
Then, last but not least we got over to Ignis. With all the practicing we had done on him during Day #3, and the experience some of our raiders had from their 10 man adventures, we were able to get off to a very strong start. And after a very healing intensive fight, we finally got him down.
4 Bosses down, 3 on day #4. It’s a new week now with promise of us getting much further! Chronus Yeah Yeah Yeah!

Day #3 saw us having some pretty stable servers where we could get some prime raiding in. Next on our plate was Ignis the Furnace Master.
During the day, Blizzard posted that they had fixed the bugs where Ignis would randomly melee someone before eating him. After about 10 attempts on the guy, we realized that they had messed up the hot fix. And while we got some great work done, learning the fight from both a healers and tank perspective, it just wasn’t going to happen.
Razorscale being right across the hall was the next logical choice for progression, so we took a quick trip over there. We found that learning that, while Ignis was a Healer fight… Razor was a DPS fight. We learned the strategies quite quickly and put him to <5% a few times before calling it a night.

Day #2 started off a bit better than Day #1, where we were finally able to get into the instance and have our first look at Flame Leviathan. One detail that we should have read up on was, the encounter begins the moment you kill the last mobs outside of his door. So we ended up starting the fight going “Crap we’re not all repaired yet”, putting us at a bit of a disadvantage. That and our learning of the launch mechanics, didn’t go so well, leaving a few people to get squished. Wipe.
And what do you know? Instance Not Found! We all got about an hour break where we were able to talk about our strats a bit more.
Once the servers were working again, we started Flame Leviathan again. Oh and a key detail is that we did it with the Lightning Tower Up (Big lighting strikes of death!). And after a bit of tweaking, we were able to dismantle the giant tank!

Next up was Ignis the Furnace Master. Where we quickly learned that Blizzard had changed him from when he was Tank and Spank on the PTR. I’ll forgo the details.… but needless to say, we are investigating and discussing other strategies for tonight’s run.

World of Warcraft patch 3.1 was released! The day that everyone was waiting for had finally arrived. The day that we got a new class changes, new trade skill recipes, new quests, a new VoA Boss, and most importantly… Ulduar. Unfortunately, when I mean everyone was waiting for it… I mean EVERYONE was waiting for it. Probably for the first time in WoW history, Blizzard released a new instance where 99.9% of the Raiding Population was ready and willing to jump in on day 1. And we know what this means… Server Crash.
Day #1 didn’t go so well for Chronus. For our members who were able to beat the Patch Mob, and avoid the Loading Screen attunement, the rest were largely left to standing around Frozen in an instance.
Stay tuned for my post tomorrow, where we’ll post our kill shots and loot gained.

Chronus is still here!
Since January, both Chronus raids have completed all raid content– leaving both raids to actively farm content until their (sometimes little) brains explode (fall out, leak out, etc.)!
We are still actively taking and reviewing applications for membership in Chronus, but we do have a few slots in both raids that need to be filled.
- Healers– Druids, Priests, Resto shammy preferred
- Tanks– DK, Prot Pally preferred
- DPS– SPriests, Hunter, Rogue, DK preferred
As always, Chronus accepts and reviews all applications for currently filled roles, looking for exceptional players.
